The European Parliament is bored. MEPs plead: ‘Please give us something to do.’

pg44-boredom-gettyThis article in POLITICO provides an explanation why there are currently so many legally non-binding “initiative reports”, some of which, emanating from the radical fringe, seek to establish a “right to abortion” (like the Noichl Report or the Panzeri Report), or an “LGBT Roadmap” (as in the Lunacek report).

Maybe it would be better to reduce the number of MEPs, or at least the number of plenary sittings?
