Poland: 500.000 sign petition for full ban on abortion

fvhfnqWhile radical feminists never cease lamenting Poland’s “restrictive” abortion laws, these laws are in fact not restrictive at all: they allow abortion when the woman’s life or health is endangered by the continuation of pregnancy, when the pregnancy is a result of a criminal act (such as incest or rape), or when the fetus is malformed. It is the application of these rules that in Poland is more serious-minded than in other countries, which means that the right to life is better protected there than in most other countries.

But there is nothing good that could not be improved. A public petition to prohibit abortions in all cases except where there is a threat to the life of the pregnant woman has been signed by more than 500.000 Polish citizens, making the discussion of a draft bill in the Sejm mandatory.
