Sanity returns to the sanitary. US President Donald Trump has accomplished another important objective of his presidency, scrapping his pre-decessor’s controversial “Toilet-Decree”, which allowed men to use women’s bathrooms, and vice versa, solely on the basis of a person’s self-ascribed “gender identity”. Critics had described this decree as “post-factual” legislation par excellence, and warned that, creating optimal conditions for voyeurism and sexual assaults, it threatened the privacy and safety of people with normal sexual behaviour..
Nils Muižnieks, the current “Human Rights Commissioner” of the Council of Europe, misuses the prestige, the resources, and easy access to the media that are associated with his function to promote the legal recognition of same-sex “marriages” between sodomites, an issue for which very obviously he holds no mandate. He is doing so on the basis of spurious claim that sodomite-“marriage” is a “human right” awaiting to be discovered.
Here is his grotesque “Human Rights Comment”, published on the Council of Europe’s website. Continue reading
Michael Novak, one of the most influential American theologians and philosophers of the 20th century passed away on 17 February. Novak, who served as an Ambassador under US President Ronald Reagan, and an adviser to two Popes, made his own small contribution to defeating the tyrannical communist systems of the Soviet bloc. The French Senate adopted a law on 7 December which could lead to pro-life campaigners being prosecuted for expressing their views about the moral evil of abortion or posting information on websites about the dangers of abortion. This is a totalitarian move by the French pro-abortion elite, increasingly intolerant of any view that deviates from State Ideology. Continue reading
In an astounding lack of sensitivity for the families of the victims of the Castro dictatorship, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker fell over himself in expressing his sadness at this ‘great loss’. Fidel Castro, who passed away on 26 November, ruled communist Cuba with an iron fist for almost five decades. While it would be unchristian to welcome the death of any human being, it is important not to forget the inhuman legacy of the Castro regime. Continue reading
You don’t need to be Catholic, or adhere to another Christian denomination, or even to any religion at all, in order to understand that in today’s world the Catholic Church is the most formidable beacon of resistance against the all-pervasive Culture of Death. There may be other opponents – but the Catholic Church is the one that unites a great number of adherents, the capability of acting globally and reaching out to people of all social backgrounds, and a coherent set of arguments that, being grounded on sound philosophical thinking, cannot be easily dismissed as some kind of outdated “belief” of “superstition”.
If only the Catholic Church could be overcome, there would be nothing to prevent the destruction of society and the world-wide triumph of child-slaughtering, the physical liquidation of weak and the elderly, gender-ideology, sodomy, and the trafficking of human beings by so-called “reproductive doctors”.
The promoters and profiteers of the Culture of Death know this too – perhaps better than most Catholics. That is why they viscerally hate the Catholic Church and seek to fight it both from the outside and from within. Continue reading
A sad day for the pro-life movement in Poland and Europe: today the Polish Sejm rejected the civic bill brought forward by the citizens’ committee “Stop Aborcji”, which would have restricted abortion only to the cases where it is ethically justifiable, namely in the case of a risk of life of the mother. In doing so, the politicians overruled an initiative based on solid ethical and legal argument that had been promoted by thoughtful citizens, and instead chose to give in, in a rather cowardly manner, to the noise made by a fanaticised crowd that offered no arguments at all, but instead simply exhibited hatred and disrespect.
